Step-by-Step Guide

We let you skip the trip to the mall, now you can skip the dry cleaner and wash your sweaters at home.

There are no rules to how often you have to wash your sweater, but we recommend several wears before washing, like your jeans.

Just follow the easy steps below for both hand and machine wash options, as well as a unique drying method, to keep your sweaters fresh and in tact.

1. Turn your sweater inside out.

2. Place it in a pillowcase of a similar color that you know does not bleed.

3. Use a gentle detergent without bleach or perfumes. Organic detergents, or detergents made for children’sclothing work well.

4. Wash the sweater in the pillowcase with cold water on the delicate setting.

3. Wash the sweater with the detergent in cold water in your sink or bathtub.

4. Rinse off the detergent with cold water.

5. Don’t wring or twist water out of sweater. Gently gather your sweater into a ball and press the excess water out of it.

TIP - Unless you're using our special method for drying below, don't hang your sweaters in your closet, even when dry. Sweaters should be folded to keep the fabric from stretching out and avoid hanger marks.
TIP - Never hang your sweaters, even when they are dry. Those annoying hanger shoulder marks will still appear even when dry!
