"I grew up in a family that had a denim manufacturing facility, and every summer I used to work there. I saw the ins and outs of the industry. As I grew up, I appreciated premium clothing, I just hated overpaying for it, and I knew I could deliver a premium product at an affordable price.
The goal of the brand is to create products that people reach for every single day."
Honesty
Alejandro grew up inside a denim factory. He knew the fabrics, the costs, the margins, and exactly where the industry was overcharging you. Mott & Bow exists because someone with that knowledge decided to do something about it.

We design fewer products on purpose. Every piece has to earn its place. We obsess over every detail, from the way a fabric is dyed to the way a seam sits. You may not spot them, but you'll feel the difference the moment you put our clothes on—and that's a Mott & Bow guarantee.

Designing is easy. You can sketch and sketch and sketch, make the products, throw them out there, and see what the customer might vote for. But when you're an item-focused, premium quality-focused brand, it takes a really long time to get to the premium product."
We're actively trying to design less items in the collection, because we want to focus on very few products that we can really excel at and make a difference. The pieces we put out there, we want them to be a favorite in the consumer's closet"

Driggs
"I think this is a t-shirt that boosts confidence, because you feel like a million bucks when you're wearing it. And you look mature, which is difficult to achieve in a t-shirt. You can go out in it and look relaxed but still grown up. It's very age appropriate. I used to have a very similar t-shirt back in the day, but I was paying double the price, so I essentially developed my own. The softness is unbelievable. You're going to love it. I couldn't be prouder of the Driggs, it's been my go-to shirt for over eight years".

"This one hasn't gotten enough awareness. It has modal, spandex and cotton, because I know guys like stretch in their tees. We got this idea from a very expensive brand that had this thread combination and was selling it for $300. We're doing it for $55. I know it's a lot of money but compared to where it's retailing in other brands, it's a steal. And we offer it in packs; that way, if you buy more, you save more."

"My personal favorite. It has a washing down process that becomes very expensive to do, and we decided to do it because we believe the look is worth it."
- ALEJANDRO"One of my absolute favorites. We developed it with heavier cotton, and though you would think that it's seasonal and you can't wear it all the time, you actually can. It has this enzyme wash that takes the color down and gives it a vintage feel, like it's been worn to perfection."

“We wanted to differentiate from the typical cotton polos, so we did this sueded jersey feel that gives it a more elevated touch. It’s very clean and has a curved hem that makes it more casual. I think it looks great: you can wear it to work, to dinner or on the weekends, it has a similar versatility to the chinos”.

"Our Luxe Performance Polo is clean and doesn’t have crazy patterns, so we see guys pair it with their Tech Pants or Travel Pants, and it's also very widely used for golfing”.
