Bookkeeper & Accountant Specialist

What you´ll do: 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the company.
  • Record all financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, into the accounting software.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare and process invoices, bills, and other financial documents.
  • Assist in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Invoicing
  • Monitor and manage petty cash transactions.
  • Handle payroll processing, including calculating wages, deductions, and tax withholdings.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and other financial documents.
  • Generate financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to support financial audits.
  • Stay updated with relevant financial regulations and ensure compliance.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed.
  • Will question expenses and make sure everyone has proper receipts.
  • Will verify sales tax matches between systems and filings are approved in time
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations.
  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, reports, and forecasts
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws.
  • Review and approve financial transactions and expenditures.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance financial efficiency.

You should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software like Quick Books and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Doesn’t take BS from anyone in the company. 
  • Familiarity with payroll processing and tax regulations is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and precision.
  • High ethical standards and integrity in financial management.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and taxation
